URETEK Mobilizes to Support Iowa DOT District 4 Engineers Following 2019 Flooding

In Iowa, where damages from the Spring 2019 flooding have been estimated as high as $1.6 billion, levee failures resulted in the flooding of towns, railroads and highways. With public safety and the preservation of key highway assets a priority, Iowa DOT engineers contacted specialty highway repair contractor URETEK and asked the company to join in the effort to fight back against the water.

URETEK rose to the challenge and once again demonstrated the power of modern pavement preservation techniques. This time, the work took place with communities counting the minutes until the flow of normal life could resume over repaired bridges and highways.
